My mom and I decided upon awakening that we wanted food...She insisted on chillis....
We typically place the order for an appetizer first and we decided on cups of chili. The waitress said, "K, be right back with that!" And it took at least 20 - 25 minutes for her to return.
She comes back and swiftly announces: "Yeah, the chili looked kind of meh, so they're cooking a new batch. It'll be right out. And your other food is almost done." Thanks bitch. Our entrees are on their way and we've not even been appetized. Here's the kicker: I've been saying to people for years now that all of this food is microwaved.
I know, first-hand, from chain restaurant work experience. So, in reality, they pour the chili into a pot and warm it up. It's either frozen or in a can. 30 minutes later, we get our sorry $1.39 cups of chili and it's COLD. WTF?
I was just totally angry by this point so I did my :

*when waitress returns, I push my cup toward her and scoff*
ME: I'm just not eating this. It's cold and nasty...
Waitress: Oh! Um, would you like me to ...
ME: No. It took forever to come out so I don't trust it'll be fixed. I'll just ...
Waitress: No, I'm sorry, let me fix this for you.
ME: No. It's microwaved anyway. You can't help me.
Waitress shrugs and Mom gives her an, "It's OK." She leaves

I only become ornery in restaurants because of my own professionalism when I work. Though I have been written up as "aloof" before at jobs and I have cussed three customers out I feel justified in most of those instances. You try looking for Spongebob stickers when crazy lady is batshit and accusing you of stealing them. You'd break and say, "You know what, fuck you lady and fuck your stickers, too." I am always explanatory, detailed, and serving to my customer. When I talk shit to them, it's also an example of my explanatory, detailed, and serving nature. I would not have minded if the waitress was like, "Fuck you buddy, it's just 2 dollar chili." But she didn't so kick rocks.

Okay I guess i'm done now...
But I will be back.
